Doodle 4 Google has become an extremely popular competition, with the winner receiving the much coveted opportunity to have their art displayed on Google Ireland’s Homepage for an entire day. The winner will also receive a scholarship of €5,000 towards future studies and a Chromebook!
Over 4,000 entries were received and only 75 artists were shortlisted. Among these chosen few is our very own past pupil Nicole Tighe, who is now attending Gallan Community School in Ferbane. Nicole’s artistic gift did not go unnoticed during her tenure here at Scoil Mhuire, and many of her masterpieces continue to adorn the walls of our school.
The theme for this year’s competition “Ireland is….” played perfectly to Nicole’s strength and her love of nature. Members of the public can vote from February 7th for their favourite Doodle on http://www.google.ie/doodle4google. The five most popular doodles – one from each age category will be put through the final! So please share this link and support our wonderfully talented Nicole!
