Scoil Mhuire Choir is delighted to be taking part in this wonderful annual event on Sunday 2nd of December. Dare we say that it is beginning to look a lot like Christmas???
How lucky are the students of Ms. Waters’ and Ms. Daly’s class??? So lucky! Here they are baking up a storm and decorating. Nothing left over for the rest of us!!!
Ms Daly’s class won Best Attendance and enjoyed a trip to the library and Supermacs as their reward. Well done girls for all of your hard work- this was a well deserved treat!!
The girls of 4th class were learning all about lungs this week. They did an incredible job in making their own!! Well done girls!
5th class put on the white coats and got very serious about Science Week. It looks like the girls had a lot of fun experimenting in Ms. Reddan’s class.
The Green Team gave a wonderful presentation to the entire school at assembly today. This marvellous group of young ladies is working very hard in a bid to secure the school’s 7th Green Flag. As well as giving tips on how to save energy and recycle batteries the team also explained how we can help
Senior Infant students were learning all about bringing their pet to the vet in Aistear this week. After gathering plenty of information they were lucky to have local vet Dr. Murray and his two beautiful dogs Aura and Mia show them how to take great care of their furry best friends. The children got to
2nd class students were busy learning about the amazing Alexander Graham Bell this week. They explored how he invented the phone and experimented with their own phone making ability (watch out Samsung!). They also made some interesting discoveries with skittles and water. The results were very pretty indeed.
Mr. Hughes’ and Ms. Fitzsimmons’ Senior Infant groups are learning about the community this week, in particular, the post office. They took a trip into town to find the post office and to post their letters.
