The inaugural Senior Infants/First Class soccer league commenced today in Scoil Mhuire. There was an extremely high standard on display in two keenly contested opening games. The boys and girls of Junior Infants have been very busy in aistear learning about the supermarket and pizza. So they wrote the shopping lists, visited the supermarket and finally made the pizzas and as you can see from the empty plates they thoroughly enjoyed them. Well done everyone!
Junior infants set off today in search of some ingredients to make a Pizza! The students had some great help from Ms. Grennan and Niamh to keep everyone safe on their way. The boys and girls wrote their own shopping list and headed off with an empty shopping bag to Lidl. The children were so
Areebah, Clodagh and Green School Co-ordinator Miss Mahon were in Athlone yesterday to pick up our 7th Green Flag. This flag was awarded for the Global Citizenship Energy theme. Well done to everyone in Scoil Mhuire on this momentous achievement.
What an amazing day had by all at JEP. The 5th and 6th class girls did Scoil Mhuire very proud. To be shortlisted out of 700 schools is a wonderful achievement. Difficult to describe the amazing atmosphere in the RDS. Lots of hoarse voices on the journey home!!
The boys and girls of Junior Infants went exploring for signs of summer today. They brought the iPads with them to take photographs of their findings. Pretty impressive stuff!!
The Parents’ Association presented our communion class and our confirmation class with their certificates this week. County Photos were on hand to take fabulous pictures of the girls. The association very kindly acknowledged all the work that the teachers, Sr. Margaret and Sr. Genny do in preparing the students for their sacraments. Thank you very
Ms Daly’s class had great fun last week showing Flat Stanley from Forest Valley Elementary School, Canada around Scoil Mhuire & Tullamore. The touring Stanley idea all stemmed from Forest Valley’s Rabbit and Squirrel classes wanting to read a chapter book together during daily storytime. The classes settled on reading the original Flat Stanley adventure
