  • St. Brigid’s Crosses

    The girls of 6th class are learning all about St. Brigid this week. According to tradition, the St. Brigid’s cross is made on the eve of St. Brigid’s Day (1st of February) and replaces the cross made the previous year. It is kept in the home to protect all those living in it from harm.

  • Thank You Laura

    The students of Ms. O’Sullivan’s class are currently reading John Boyne’s moving novel, The Boy in The Striped Pyjamas. Classmate Laura went to Poland last week and took a tour of Auschwitz Concentration Camp,  the central location of the novel’s tragic tale.  Laura even brought a copy of her novel on her trip with her.

  • Charleville Castle

    The students of Ms. Daly’s class took a stroll up to Charleville grounds and castle during the month of January. The girls were amazed to discover such a fantastic castle as well as “Ireland’s Oldest Tree”  on their walk. A great day was had by all.
