The science behind floating and sinking just got a lot more serious in Miss Wright’s 1st class. The students carefully planned and built their very own vessels in the hope that their boats would float in the ultimate floating challenge. Using a wide variety of materials, from paper to plastic, the students created the ultimate “sea worthy” vessels.
After a presentation of their product to sixth class the students headed to the fountain in the park where many boats rose to the occasion, but some boats sadly met their Waterloo!
